seriously ... list down advantages ORkut has given me...
1. .......

now for the disadvantages ....
1. People I rather forget find me and add me as a frnd.
2. People leave offensive scraps ...
3. Scraps run into bloody pages .... if you want to tell me something .. its easier to hit compose in gmail / yahoo / bo-hoo or whatever your flavour might be ....

bas .... Orkut ka account close karne ka waqt aa gaya hai ....

Last time I was on orkut it wasn't as much fun as I thought it would be .. a few friends ... a few useless scraps .. and a group for our company with few members ... the whole thing appeared to be quite boring ..

1 year later I just got curious what are these guys upto ... had received some interesting email invitations like .. "Red Hat Gulhane" fan club and few people I never knew had identified and invited me to be friends ...

So I went in exploring and found the base has grown quite a bit .. Bitwise group has 90 members and I don't recognize 90% of them ... then I sarted looking at my friend list .. then friends friend list and so..on ... found a few interesting scraps but most were pretty boring n routine ... BUT ..

as I returned to my home page to sign-off I saw the new feature ... that tells u who looked at ur profile last ... and thats when I learned that I have left my signature on every profile viewed .. thats fu***** crapy !! .. it was too late to know that I can disable this feature ... so I decided not to bother ...

Anyway, the good side of it was that I found a link to our own chirkut Mr. Boneman's blog .. it was fun to read a friends blog after some time .. and that reminded me of our own chirkuts blog and my own blog .. suddenly I found motivation to write @ something without caring too much @ profiles and scraps and invitations .. so have decided to spend some time on this regularly ..

It has been high time now since I have written anything to any blog, so here comes….

Well not really …

I would have liked to write in detail about my experiences in Chicago and living with friends. (A few tips included) and maybe a few pointers to tips on cooking (A new-found hobby). But I guess I will have to leave it for a later time... Well I really don’t like procrastination and I am trying real hard to get rid of it... but again I guess I will have to leave that too for a later timeJ. The reason I have started to write again is because I have found myself with abundant amounts of precious time that I would like to put to good use. And the reason that I have so much of what everyone has so little is because I am on VACATION, back in INDIA!!! YaAaAaY!!!(Jump in the air, a double summer sault , land on the feet). So while I am at it I guess I will write more about it... so the next few blogs will be mostly be about my experiences in India. Not that I did not have experiences before but now I am able to compare it... and not that comparison will do anyone any good, but it lets me identify the experiences that define India.

The EXPERIENCE begins with an 8300 Mile (Oops 13,300 Km) journey back home. Rule no one: dare not mix up your units… it is actually quite easy... NASA does it too and the poor chaps end up with blown up rockets that dangerously veer off-course. Well you may not end up being blow to bits but it is a sure sign to your folks that something is off-course!

Well I must say, the trip back home is undoubtly the most rewarding trip that you will make… it is the sheer anticipation of getting back to where you belong that makes the whole trip more that your moneys worth. I would say that the least you could do is sit back and enjoy your flight … the cloudless dark blue skies, brilliant sunsets, sun bathed earth in golden light, swooping in and out of the clouds are unearthly experience that are added bonuses of any air plane flight.

Random thots on a friday second shift !!!

Just got news Ive been made the "acting team lead" ... yeah whatever !!!!

going by the list of designations.... god knows what was their stupid bloody criteria for selection ...
neways shift main sad rahan hoon .... saala 3 phone leke ghoomna pad raha hai !!! bakwaas hai yaar !!!!
majaa tab aata hai jab 2/3 saath main bajte hain ....
gonna give a suggestion .... put the voip lines on a parallel epbx and give the onsite co-ords the extension numbers .... keep the support lines free. ... abe support primaries function as receptionists in the evening ...
cricket update : india was 213/3 when I started this blog ....
got 5 fucking phones in the middle ....
now we are at 231/4 ...
....
abhi 4tha phone bhi mil gaya ....
so now im carrying 2 support lines , the backup support line and one of the voip lines. ...
cool .... if i do get layed off at any given time during my carreer ... I shud put this on my resume ...
able to handle 4 phones in one go.... get a receptionist free with a programmer !!!!

ps: my best frnds spurned GF is harrassing me on my cell !!! Aaaah !!!! paagal hone waala hoon...

probably will take off somewhere tomorrow .... and get yelled at by dad again for doing that !!!

a piecee of the moon!!!! Yeah thats whatI found at the adler planetarium in chicago. Some usefull information, the Adler planetarium is the first planetarium in the USA. and currently houses 3 generations of planteria in it. What we have in mumbai is the second generation planetarium (Nehru Planetarium). Do check out the third generation planetarium at adler... (Actually we missed the third generation planetariu altogether .. so make sure to pick the right show in the right sky theater..)

Hey guys, still not finding blog interesting ?? Well, honestly speaking its the
same story here, but thats cause none of you have posted anything till now, xcept for
Kailash. Once we start updating it daily, am sure it'll become a lot more interesting reading @ each other ... it just taks 5-10 mins to jolt down the highlights of your day and over a period of time you'll realise how cool it is when you'll be able to read posts that are several months old and when you'll be able to recollect all the funny incidents for that day.. no issues where you are (Not trying to point to Vinay here), you'll always feel near to the blog members...

Yesterday's hangover (work) is making me feel like the laziest person on earth...

3 days without sleep, now I am gonna sleep for 2 days ...
But somehow liked working late nights after long time...

Hope the testing stuff won't come back 2 us 4 any rework...

Lessons Life has taught me today..

1) The best way to avoid bugs in your code is to not code...

2) Be very careful when you copy-paste (If option [1] is not available to you). You will spend hours debugging and screwing things , blaming Architectural flaws and specifications ... and at the end of it make you feel very silly.
